Ajman Hackathon Honors Outstanding Participants and Showcases Youth Creativity
The "Ajman Hackathon" initiative, an effort by the Ajman Digital Government, successfully concluded its competitions. It witnessed an exhilarating contest among 50 men and women who took on three technological challenges. They aimed to accomplish feats within a continuous 48-hour work period, all under the presence of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Ammar Al Nuaimi.
During the closing ceremony, Sheikh Humaid honored the winning teams in competitions such as the Ajman application, blockchain-based unified identity system, and intelligent transportation. The organizations and institutions that contributed to the success of this initiative were duly acknowledged.
The ceremony included captivating presentations of the projects, and was graced by Ahoud Shuhail, Director General of Ajman Digital Government. There was a distinguished panel of the following judges: Dr. Saeed Saif Al Matrooshi, Secretary General of the Executive Council; Engineer Omar Al Muhairi, General Manager of Ajman Public Transport Corporation; and Dr. Shawqi Toubi, Director for Technical Information Analysis, Middle East, Africa & Turkey; Dr. Karim Al Sagheer from Ajman University; Marwan Al Muhairi from Municipality and Planning Department for Projects and Investments; and Imad Shafiq, Executive Advisor at Gartner.
Ahoud Shuhail, the Director General of Ajman Digital Government, expressed her gratitude to all those who participated in and contributed to the success of the "Ajman Hackathon." She commended the collaboration with partners such as IBM, Ajman Transport Authority, Watani Al Emarat Foundation, Ajman Youth Center, and Emirates Vision Media Network.
She lauded the participation of the competing teams, which showcased a spirit of competition and fostered intellectual exchange among talented young individuals. She highlighted the presence of talents in programming and innovation who possess the ability to excel both locally and globally.
About this matter, Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander in Chief of Sharjah Police, honored Captain Naseem Salem Al Mashwi from Sharjah Polices Strategy and Performance Development Department for securing a place in the identity system project during the "Ajman Hackathon" initiative. He praised the project for its innovative ideas while emphasizing the significance of participation in achieving success.
The honoree expressed pride in receiving this recognition as it serves as motivation for more extraordinary dedication and creativity.
