Department of Legal Affairs

The department was established pursuant to Emiri Decree No. (10) of 2014, which was replaced by Emiri Decree No. (3) of 2018. Since its establishment, the department has provided support and legal services to Ajman’s Government entities, prepared and reviewed draft legislation, and contributed to the preparation of legislative policies upon the request of government departments. The department is also entrusted with overlooking legal consultation offices, which includes issuing rules and regulations to regulate their work, granting initial approval to license legal consultation offices in the Emirate, and supervising and monitoring their work.
