Request To Issue A Hotel License

This service enables customers to obtain a new license for hotel establishment, including hotels, hotel apartments, furnished tourist apartments, rest houses and guest houses, lodges, resorts and tourist villages, and desert camps

Required Documents

    Individuals

  •  Valid ID (passport / ID).

  • A copy of the valid residence permit

    • Business

  • Good conduct certificate (for the manager) for verification with other emirates

  • Copy of the title deed; if the land is not owned, a written undertaking from the owner agreeing to the use of the land must be presented

  • Copy of the engineering drawings of the existing building

  • Attachment of approvals from strategic partner agencies

    • Government Entities

  • trad license certificate

Process

  • 1 Submitting the application in the system and attaching the required documents
  • 2 Reviewing the attachments and presenting them to the concerned parties for approval
  • 3 Sending the application to the classification department and obtaining preliminary approva
  • 4 Completing external approvals and attaching the approvals in the system
  • 5 Issuance of preliminary license
  • 6 Site classification inspection and report
  • 7 Paying the fees
  • 8 Obtaining the final hotel establishment license
  • 9 review attachments by relevant staff and approval

  • Issuance and Renewal of Final License for Hotel Establishments Hotels and Resorts: 5-star category: AED 800 per room, with a minimum of AED 45,000 4-star category: AED 600 per room, with a minimum of AED 40,000

  • Issuance and Renewal of Final License for Hotel Establishments Hotels and Resorts: 3-star category: AED 600 per room, with a minimum of AED 40,000 2-star category: AED 400 per room, with a minimum of AED 35,000 1-star category: AED 400 per room, with a minimum of AED 35,000

  • Hotel Apartments: Luxury category: AED 800 per room, with a minimum of AED 40,000 Excellent category: AED 600 per room, with a minimum of AED 40,000 Standard category: AED 400 per room, with a minimum of AED 35,000 Guesthouses, Holiday Homes, and Desert Camps: Tourist category: AED 10,000

  • Facilities Affiliated with Hotel Establishments: Facilities owned and managed by the hotel establishments: AED 800 per facility Facilities owned by the hotel establishments but not managed by them: AED 500 per facility

  • Facilities Affiliated with Hotel Establishments: Temporary facilities within the hotel establishment boundaries and not managed by them: AED 500 per facility

  • Issuance and Renewal of Classification for Hotel Establishments (Annually): Classification Certificate for all hotel establishments: AED 500 for all categories Issuance of Classification plaque: AED 500 per plaque Classification of hotel establishments as part of the licensing procedures: AED 1,000
