Registration of a Lease-to-Own Agreement

This service enables individuals and the business sector to register a lease-to-own contract, ensuring the documentation of the contractual relationship between the parties and enabling the beneficiary to register the property or real estate unit after the contract expires, in accordance with the approved procedures and controls.

Required Documents

    Individuals

  • Establishment contract and commercial license for institutions and companies

  • Original title deed / ownership certificate / preliminary registration certificate (if the documents are not updated with the Emirates ID)

  • A letter from the bank regarding the registration of the property or real estate unit under Ijara and the Ijara contract concluded between the parties

Process

  • 1 Log in using UAE PASS through the available channels
  • 2 Submit the application and attach the required documents
  • 3 Receive a payment notification via SMS or email
  • 4 Pay the fees
  • 5 Receive the title deed, ownership certificate, or preliminary registration certificate through the Digital Identity application or the department's document wallet

Service fees

  • Issuance of a property title deed, preliminary registration certificate for a real estate unit, or property unit ownership certificate - AED 350

  • Lease-to-own registration fees for the property or real estate unit for UAE nationals and GCC citizens at a rate of 2% of the lease contract value, collected by the beneficiary from the Department, with a minimum fee of AED 2,500 - AED 2

  • Lease-to-own registration fees for the property or real estate unit for non-UAE nationals and non-GCC citizens at a rate of 3% of the lease contract value, collected by the beneficiary from the Department, with a minimum fee of AED 3,000, in addition to the registration fees - AED 3
