This service enables businesses to obtain a building permit for an existing building, provided that the consultant verifies the building’s structural integrity and confirms its compliance with the approved building requirements and regulations

  • Commitment letter from the consultant regarding the safety of the structural integrity of the existing building

  • Valid consultant’s license

  • Executive Architectural Drawings

  • Approved plans from the General Department of Civil Defense - Ajman,(except for residential and Agricultural buildings).

  • 7 Receive the building permit for an existing building

Service fees

  • Fees for submitting the service application for all buildings, excluding private residential buildings

  • Fees for submitting the service application for private residential and agricultural buildings.

  • Fees for a building permit for a private residential or agricultural building: AED 3.5 per square metre, subject to a minimum fee of AED 200

  • Fees for a building permit for all buildings, excluding private residential and agricultural buildings: AED 6 per square metre, subject to a minimum fee of AED 200.

  • Fees for a boundary wall construction permit for a private residential or agricultural building.

  • Fees for an annex construction permit for a private residential or agricultural building.

  • Fees for an internal or external shade structure permit for private residential and agricultural buildings.

  • Fees for an internal or external shade structure permit for all buildings, excluding private residential and agricultural buildings.

  • Insurance fees: AED 2 per square metre for all building types, subject to a minimum of AED 500 for residential shade structures, AED 1,000 for annexes, AED 2,000 for residential villas, and AED 3,000 for all other building types, excluding private residential and agricultural buildings.
