Request For Using Outside Areas

This service enables individuals and businesses to apply for the lease of outdoor space within the road right-of-way for permitted uses, such as outdoor seating for restaurants, loading and unloading areas, and other approved activities, in accordance with the applicable terms and conditions

    Business

  • Land plan or Title deed

  • Illustrative Drawing of the Work Site or Site Photos

  • Lease contract

  • Commercial license

  • No objection certificate of serving SHISHA (from Health Department in case of coffee shops)

Process

  • 1 Sign in using UAE PASS through the available channels
  • 2 Submit the application and attach the required documents
  • 3 Pay the fees
  • 4 Schedule the site inspection
  • 5 Conduct the site inspection
  • 6 Receive an outdoor space use permit

Service fees

  • Monthly fee for the use of sidewalk area on main roads, as specified by the Department, for coffee shops, cafeterias, or construction sites. - AED 20

  • Monthly fee for using sidewalk area on secondary roads, as specified by the Department, for coffee shops, cafeterias, or construction sites. - AED 10

  • Annual fee for the use of sidewalk area on main roads, as specified by the Department, for coffee shops, cafeterias, or construction sites. - AED 220

  • Annual fee for using an area of a sidewalk on the secondary roads specified by the Department for coffee shops, cafeterias, or construction sites - AED 110

  • Monthly fee for using an area of a sidewalk for a seating area - AED 5

  • Annual fee for using an area of a sidewalk for a seating area - AED 50
