Impounded Vehicle Release

This service enables individuals and businesses to request the release of their impounded vehicles, allowing them to regularize the vehicle’s status and retrieve it through the proper procedures

Required Documents

    Government Entities

  • Copy of vehicle ownership, papers of vehicle possession or export

  • Copy of passport (Mandatory for the visitor)

  • Official letter from the government entity to the Municipality and Planning Department delegating the person concerned with releasing the impounded vehicle

  • Official authorization letter from the company to the Municipality & Planning Department.

  • Letter of authorization from the State courts approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Justice.

  • Letter from the Traffic Department if the vehicle has no ownership certificate

Process

  • 1 Log in to the website using UAE PASS
  • 2 Submit the application and attach the required documents
  • 3 Receive a notification of the application’s approval or rejection
  • 4 Pay the fees
  • 5 Receive the vehicle from the Vehicle Impoundment Service Center

  • Fees for custody and guarding of the abandoned vehicle (per day, and any part of a day shall be considered a full day) - AED 50
