This service enables businesses to obtain a building permit, approved by the Department, for carrying out an extension to an existing building, ensuring that the works comply with the approved building specifications and requirements

  • Executive Architectural Drawings

  • Approval of service entities: - Etihad Water and Electricity - Emirates Telecommunications Corporation (etisalat &) -Ajman Sewerage Company and The General Directorate of Civil Defence (non-residential/agricultural)

  • An appendix to the supervision and contracting contracts

  • Approval of a new project for the contractor

  • 2 Submit the application and attach the required documents

  • 4 Receiving a building permit for an extension to an existing building

Service fees

  • Service Application Fee for Issuing Building Permits for All Buildings Except Private Residential Buildings

  • Service Application Fee for Private Residential / Agricultural Buildings

  • Private Residential / Agricultural Building Permit Fee: AED 3.5 per square meter, with a minimum fee of AED 200.

  • Building Permit Fee for All Buildings (Except Private Residential / Agricultural Buildings): AED 6 per square meter, with a minimum fee of AED 200.

  • Private Residential / Agricultural Boundary Wall Building Permit Fee

  • Private Residential / Agricultural Building Extension Permit Fee

  • Permit Fee for Internal / External Shades for Private Residential / Agricultural Buildings

  • Permit Fee for Internal / External Shades for All Buildings (Except Private Residential / Agricultural Buildings)

  • Insurances fees: AED 2 per square meter for all types of buildings, with a minimum of AED 500 for residential shades, AED 1000 for annexes, AED 2,000 for residential villas, and AED 3000 for all types of buildings (other than residential / agricultural)
